Rubber-Cal's Playground Surfacing Lays Foundation for a Relationship with DIY

Santa Ana, Calif., March 11, 2011 – The DIY Network recently selected Rubber-Cal, Inc. to be an active partner in the development of a new DIY television show. Rubber-Cal will supply the network with a variety of rubber flooring and playground surfacing for its new home improvement program. The show, tentatively titled "Extra Yardage," is currently filming and will air later this year.

The DIY Network, a sibling to the popular HGTV and Food Networks, offers viewers easy and innovative ideas for home improvement. The new landscaping series "Extra Yardage" will turn backyards, decks and patios into enjoyable outdoor living spaces. With this show, the network aims to inspire viewers to get off the couch and tackle home improvement projects of their own.

When the show’s producers contacted Rubber-Cal, they needed DIY flooring that would be quick and easy to install. They chose Rubber-Cal’s rubber flooring products for their user-friendly design and easy installation.

Rubber-Cal’s products have appeared on other DIY Network shows such as “Man Caves,” “DIY to the Rescue,” and “Grounds for Improvement.”

The Eco-Sport and Eco-Safety rubber tiles used during filming for "Extra Yardage" are produced from recycled rubber tires. They are tough, durable, and suitable for indoor and outdoor uses. The rubber floor tiles offer a protective and safe surface for gyms, garages and playground flooring.

Rubber-Cal E-Commerce Manager My Tran notes that the “Eco-Safety and Eco-Sport products are designed as consumer-friendly floors. Their ease of installation makes them a perfect fit for the DIY Network show.” The products can be installed without adhesives, complicated equipment, or the purchase of extra material. On the upcoming season of "Extra Yardage," the interlocking rubber floor tiles will bring that safety and comfort to an outdoor playground and a home garage.

Rubber-Cal looks forward to developing a working relationship with The DIY Network through this upcoming season of "Extra Yardage."
